Apple Will Launch 10.8-Inch iPad in 2020, 8.5-Inch iPad Mini in 2021. Apple will introduce a new 10.8-inch iPad in the second half of 2020, followed by an 8.5-inch iPad model in the first half of 2021, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said. According to the analyst ‘s report, the 8.5-inch iPad is reported to be a new version of the iPad mini, although it is not clear if the proposed 10.8-inch iPad will also be a new version of current iPad versions. Apple introduced the latest iPad Pro models in March of this year.
According to Kuo‘s research note, which MacRumors published, the latest 10.8-inch and 8.5-inch iPad models are expected to have a latest 20W power adapter within the package. Other features of the iPad models have not been illustrated.
Ironically, Kuo recently indicated that the iPhone 12 models would not contain the Apple Earpods and the power adapter within the case. The analyst also expects Airpods of third generation to arrive next year.
In the meantime, Apple has unveiled the next-generation iPadOS 14 at this year’s WWDC case. The iPadOS 14 is launching a new Interface with updated widgets. It also includes new upgrades, such as sidebars and pull-down menus, to allow users to quickly access multiple apps from a single location without switching views. The improved Scribble functionality is another main feature of the new iPadOS.
The previous study suggested that upcoming iPad models would be fitted with Apple’s T2 protection chip.
Apple launched its new iPad Pro model in March, which for the first time ever comes with a LiDAR scanner and iPad trackpad support. The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2020 models are powered by the company’s A12Z Bionic SoC and the Liquid Retina display. Prices for new iPad Pro models start at Rs. 71,900 for iPad Pro 11-inch Wi-Fi and Rs. 89,900 for iPad Pro 12.9-inch Wi-Fi.
