Is there a new release date for PUBG Mobile in India? Here’s what you need to know
Let’s face it: waiting for PUBG Mobile to relaunch in India has been frustrating. The government banned the world’s most famous Battle Royale game last year. Since then, there have been a slew of events that all point to the same conclusion: the relaunch isn’t going to come anytime fast. Call it the woes of the parent company Krafton, but PUBG Mobile India seems to be on its way out — unless you check out a new tip. Dynamo, one of India’s largest game content creators, has leaked what may be PUBG Mobile India’s release date.
Dynamo said in a cryptic post that the first trailer for PUBG Mobile India, the Indianized (read censored) version of the game, could be released “on a double-digit date of a given month.” The launch, on the other hand, may take place on a single-digit date in an undisclosed month. Now, this is incredibly hazy knowledge about which we have no idea. As a result, I would caution readers to take this information with a grain of salt. Still, considering Dynamo’s long association with PUBG Mobile, we should have some confidence in this. Last year, during Diwali, the creator was featured in one of the early teasers for PUBG Mobile India.
This isn’t the first time a YouTuber has proposed a PUBG Mobile India release date. GodNixon aka Luv Sharma previously announced that PUBG Mobile had secured government approval for a relaunch, but he was unable to include a clear date or any other information. “According to reports, the government has provided the go-ahead for PUBG Mobile to return. The precise release date and month are yet to be determined, but GodNixon confirmed that the game will be returning.
The relaunch of PUBG Mobile has given Krafton a lot of optimism. A Krafton official said at a gaming conference with the help of the Indian government that the firm is working hard to get clearance for the relaunch of PUBG Mobile in India. Although, though all of this seems very optimistic — at least to smartphone gamers — the absence of a specific date remains, leaving it a little hazy.
India’s eager gamers were looking forward to Krafton’s latest game after waiting too long for PUBG Mobile. However, when Krafton revealed PUBG: New State, the brand-new title, gamers were disappointed because registrations for PUBG: New State were not open in India. Even though there is no clarity about whether or not this game is blocked in India, Krafton has ensured that nothing will be able to turn the Indian government off. I’m referring to the China link, which resulted in PUBG Mobile’s ban last year. Things are currently unclear, but let us hope Krafton finds a way to get PUBG Mobile back to India.
