Bengaluru-based After getting state and national government subsidies, Oben Electric debuted its flagship Oben Rorr electric motorbike in India, with a starting price of 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Pre-orders for the Oben Rorr electric motorbike are now available, with a starting price of 999 euros. Oben Electric now exclusively sells the Oben Rorr electric motorbike in Bengaluru, with delivery starting in May 2022. In the second quarter of 2022, the corporation expects to expand into seven additional states. Oben Electric’s manufacturing plant in Bengaluru is expected to be operational shortly, with a production capacity of 3 lakh units per year.

Oben Rorr is a neo-classic electric motorbike with a peak speed of 100 kmph and an 0-40 acceleration time of 3 seconds. The 4.4kWh fixed battery pack takes around 2 hours to completely charge, and the next charge takes roughly 200 kilometres. While we don’t have many data on the versions, we do know that the Oben Rorr electric motorbike will be available in three colours.
An app attached to the Rorr electric motorbike maintains information on the motor, battery, controller, and drivetrain. Maintenance updates, ride information, battery status, geo-fencing, geo-tagging, battery theft prevention, charging station finder, on-demand service, and roadside help are among the linked features.
In Q2, Oben Electric expects a consistent sales number thanks to a strong dealer network in the aforementioned states.
