The iQOO 12 is the first smartphone in India to have the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The iQOO 12 is available in two variations, Legend (white with BMW M Sports logo) and Alpha (black). It has 12/16 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of internal storage.
The base model with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs Rs 52,999, while the higher-end option with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB costs Rs 57,999 and will be available on December 13 for priority pass holders and December 14 for the remainder. Users of HDFC and ICICI Bank debit and credit cards can get an immediate Rs 3,000 discount, bringing the effective price down to Rs 49,999. Users of iQOO and Vivo smartphones can receive an additional Rs 5,000 while trading their old device. This makes the iQOO 12 less expensive than the iQOO 11 at launch.
The iQOO 12 has a 6.78-inch 144Hz refresh rate 1.5K resolution flat panel AMOLED screen with LTPO technology, which can reduce the refresh rate to 1Hz to conserve battery life. The display also features innovative Wet Touch technology, which allows it to function even when wet, and the smartphone is officially IP64 approved for water and dust protection.
The smartphone features an aluminium frame and a glass back, but the business has not revealed the sort of protection it possesses. Furthermore, the gadget does not support wireless charging, and data transfer speeds on the USB-C connector are restricted to the USB 2.0 standard. The phone also includes an in-house Q1 processor that is supposed to increase gaming performance by rendering games in 900p quality and using 144Hz frame interpolation technology.
A 50 MP main shooter with an f/1.3 aperture, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens with an f/2.67 aperture, and a 64 MP 3x periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.57 aperture comprise the triple camera configuration at the back. The gadget sports a 16 MP selfie camera that can capture video at up to 1080p 30fps.
The smartphone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports up to 120W rapid charging and comes with a fast charger. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 14 and the FunTouchOS 14 skin, but no Hot applications or games. The iQOO 12 will receive three major Android OS upgrades and four years of security patches, according to the firm.
